can't I Just stage my own home?

Yes, you can! But.. as a certified professional, my job is to know what will work for the ideal buyer of your home, offload the stress of preparing your home for the market and view your home objectively. We are emotionally attached to our home so we don’t always see all of its flaws and can’t view it objectively. That’s what certified home staging professionals like myself are for. I bring fresh perspective and a trained eye to present your home at its best.

Can't buyers use their imagination and look past my decor?

Only a mere 10% of home buyers can actually visualize the potential of a home. Cluttered or overly personalized spaces that have been styled to reflect your personal taste can feel smaller and make it harder for the home buyer to envision a home as 'theirs'. How Does Occupied Staging Work?

If you plan on living in your home while it's on the market, our services are for you! We will start with a walkthrough of your home in order to get a sense of the whole space. We will note the availability of furniture and accessories, and I will share specific recommendations detailing exactly how to stage the home to appeal to targeted buyers. At the end of the walkthrough, you will have a detailed Staging Checklist to follow. Some homeowners need a little more help to get the property market ready. That's when I roll up my sleeves! After the consult, I will return to edit and rearrange your home furnishings. I also offer rental packages to supplement your items with additional artwork and accessories as needed to modernize and freshen up the space.
